About us
Rooted in tradition and driven by community, USSA exists to share the joy of steelpan with the world.
our mission
Keeping the Rhythm. Preserving the Culture.
The United States Steelpan Association is dedicated to promoting the art of the steel pan and steel band through inclusive programs that celebrate the rich tapestry of Caribbean, Afro-American, European, and other cultural experiences. We strive to provide musical education and performance opportunities for pianists of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a spirit of creativity and collaboration. By integrating these diverse cultural influences, we aim to enrich the lives of individuals and communities, ultimately strengthening the socio-cultural infrastructure for future generations.
our vision
A World United by the Sound of Steelpan
We envision a vibrant and inclusive musical landscape where the sounds of the steel pan and steel band resonate in every community, bridging cultural divides and fostering understanding among diverse backgrounds. Our vision is to inspire and empower young and new generations through innovative programs that celebrate cultural diversity, provide access to music education, and encourage artistic expression. We believe that by nurturing a love for music and cultural appreciation, we can create a harmonious future that honors our past and enriches our communities for years to come.
